Coaching Versus Counselling
The main difference between coaching and counselling is that coaching focuses on the future and counselling focuses on the past. (Counselling has many benefits – we recommend it for grief and loss, including the type that comes with the ending of a relationship.)
We use coaching to allow you to gain the understanding, skills and resources to allow you to actively and intentionally create your desired results.
Coaching with Cool Calm Connected will likely include Time Line Therapy, a process where negative emotions and limiting decisions from the past can be removed without focusing on the content.
Can I Get Coaching Without My Partner?
Yes, you can. The best way to lead those close to you is by example. Taking on the responsibility of working on you and your part of the relationship will bring benefits. We can’t coach someone who doesn’t turn up or who is not committed – so if your partner doesn’t want to come along, be patient and let them decide when the time is right.
Saying that though, couples benefit greatly from getting coaching together and this is the ideal.
